Product Description

I have finally gotten another really Rare and cool Vintage leather jacket up for sale. This one is a Barn Burner! look at that Leather patina! the distressing from all the years of wear is just perfect! This is a U.S. size 40 black horsehide or Steerhide Leather likely the old and rare fidelity Brand (from what I can tell) from the 1960's with a main Conmar zipper up the front, Talon zippers on the sleeves and cool ring and chain pull zippers that were common on Leather biker jackets back in the 40's 50's and 60's. This jacket is definitely 60's and could possibly be from the 50's as there is a sliver of the original tag left and it looks to be the cream colored canvas fabric that was used back in the 40's and 50's for the steerhide and horsehide tags in the collar. Having the large Conmar zipper up the front and the Talon zippers on the sleeves with the brown canvas zipper strips strips gives us a time to date to as well. The fidelity jackets always had the hang chain riveted in the collar as this one has, but what makes this one rare is the fact that instead of the vertical stripe quilting this one has diamond quilting which is more in line with the older jackets of the time. The other Rare item of this jacket is the slanted chest pockets which were indicative of the older Schott , Fidelity, Buco's and other makes of Cafe' Racer jackets in the 50's and 1960's. This jacket measures as follows Chest armpit to armpit outside is 21' inches and inside 20" thus a size 40 the shoulders measure 18" across when laid flat seam to seam and he sleeves are 24 1/2" inches measured flat from shoulder seam to cuff. the length down the back measures 24' from the collar seam to the hem. Because this is a rare jacket I have priced it accordingly ,but I'l save you a few bucks because I've put Free shipping to anywhere in the world.
