Product Description

All of you history buffs and artifact collectors have I got something for you! You are looking at a Vintage 1880-1900 Blasting Cap Tin container from the California Cap Company out of San Francisco, California. The company existed from 1880-1940 and supplied blasting caps to mining operations throughout the U.S. but more specifically the western U.S. Gold, silver and copper mining operation of the late 1800's. This tin is in Good condition can & lid with some rust patina, which I actually prefer. You will see these blasting cap tins online going all the way up to over $2,000 for the rarest ones. This one is getting rarer and I actually like it among the best because of it's cool image of the Maltese Cross and the Three XXX's below it it just looks Cool & Dangerous! You can be a mining equipment collector and use this for simply display, start collecting these as some have very cool details and graphics stamped in to the metal or just cool owning something from so long ago, or use it to store jewelry etc... just cool to look at! .....This tin measures 2 3/4" inches in diameter and stands 1 4/16" inches tall with the lid on the can.
