I Finally got another cool Vintage Seiko Chronograph watch in....This is the Stainless Steel Seiko 7T92-OFEO from the 1970's - 1980's this one has a serial number 483479 and by that number we know the first digit is either 74 or 84 and looking at the style of the band on this one I'd say it's a 1984, although I can't say for sure. Thing is, it is a true vintage regardless now that it is well over a minimum of 20 years of age and you can be sure of that. This is Seiko's Version of the Omega Speedmaster and Tag Heuer Carrera chronograph watches.. This watch has the famous Seiko 7T92 movement and is water resistant to 100 meters. You will look long and hard to find another vintage Seiko Chronograph as nice and as cool looking as this one is. All the functions work, it keeps very good time and the Crystal is very clear with only one very minor scratch to the lower left of the case that you cannot see in the photos it is that light and unless you look under a magnifyng glass you will not see it. This watch comes with glow in the dark hands and indicators with an easy set date window. The watch has three chronograph dials the 9'oclock position is the continuous seconds the 12'oclock dial is the split 1/20 seconds and the 6 o'clock dial is the minutes dial. The watch has tachymeter bezel and the popular and in demand black face. The case measures 38mm not including the crown and the case thickness is 10.5 mm the lugs are 18mm and you can interchange with other 18mm bracelets including the black leather croc bracelet I will include with the watch ( a $30 value) see photos. If you have ever wanted a nice watch in the Speedtimer style but could not afford the thousands you'd pay for an Omega, Tag or Rolex you should consider this one. The new Seiko Version of this watch retails for over $580 and of course the Omegas, Tag heuers and Rolex's start in the thousands. Yes, this is a quartz watch but the good thing about quartz versus mechanical watch is that you don't have to wind them or keep them moving like you would an automatic. Quartz watches were the lower priced option , but are now becoming popular again with the vintage watch collectors and they keep very good time. One thing I'd do is get a rolex style stainless steel bracelet or a monaco race styled bracelet in stainless steel. This original Seiko bracelet works and looks good and will fit up to a 21cm or 8.2 in diameter wrist but the watch would look even better with one of those other type of bracelets. I think because this one is so nice looking and in great shape it is going to sell fast. You better get on it.
